Small diaphram, condenser microphone. Uncolored and transparent. Excellent on acoustic instruments, such as piano, percussion, drums, acoustic guitar, upright bass, violin, cello, woodwinds, and brass. The KM184 was intended to be a replacement for the KM 84, but the two sound sufficiently different due to the rear capsule housing vents being significantly smaller.

Mic to line amp w / compression and re-amp. For microphones it uses discrete solid state HV-3 microphone preamplifier. For instruments it boasts a DI channel with "Twin Topology", vacuum tube or discrete FET solid state options. Try the "Speaker Soak" technology for guitar power amp inputs.
